Community Guidelines
Alaka is run by its community: together we decide which words are bonded and which questions enter the game. That only works if the Discussion Pool stays friendly and safe for everyone. These guidelines are part of the Terms of Use.
In short
- Argue about the words, not the people.
- Write short, clear and kind.
- We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
1. What is not allowed
- Profanity, insults, belittling, naming a user to mock them.
- Hate speech and discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, hometown or any other trait.
- Threats, harassment, targeting someone repeatedly, bullying.
- Sexual content and obscenity.
- Content glorifying violence, crime, terrorism, drugs or self-harm.
- Political and religious propaganda. Alaka's arenas do not cover these topics, and bond and question proposals stay away from them too.
- Personal data: your own or anyone's full name, phone, address, e-mail or social media account.
- Advertising, spam, links, buying or selling accounts or coins.
- Copying other people's text or copyrighted content without permission.
- Pretending to be another player, a moderator or the Alaka team.
- Inflating votes or contribution points artificially: multiple accounts, vote deals, automation.
2. What makes a good proposal
- Bond proposal: two words and a reason of at most 140 characters. Answer "why are they related?" in a way everyone understands.
- Question proposal: four options, one clearly correct answer, a checkable source. No current politics, religion or controversial people.
- Arena term: a name or term that belongs to the arena's topic, with a short, accurate info note.
- Meaning fix and error report: say briefly what is wrong and what is right.
- Comments are at most 280 characters. Do not post the same thing over and over.
3. Report and block
- Tap Report in the menu next to any proposal or comment and choose a reason.
- Tap Block on a player's profile or in the menu. You no longer see their proposals and comments; they are not notified. You can unblock in Settings.
- Content with a certain number of reports is hidden automatically and goes to our moderators. We review reported content within 24 hours.
- Sending false reports again and again also breaks the rules.
4. Moderation and sanctions
- The first layer of moderation is the Alaka Council, players with high Contribution Points; the Alaka team makes the final decision.
- Depending on severity: content removal, a warning, a temporary ban from community features (e.g. 24 hours, 7 days), a permanent ban, removal from leagues and rewards, account closure.
- Serious violations (threats, hate speech, harm to children) lead to immediate account closure and, where necessary, a report to the authorities.
- To appeal a decision, write to info@neuros.com.tr with your player code.
5. Contribution rewards
Every accepted contribution earns a gift (coins, hints) and Contribution Points, delivered to your inbox. Contribution Points set your title: Rookie, Contributor, Editor, Council. Points and rewards earned by breaking the rules may be taken back.
